Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Christian Academy Royals vs. Scotland Christian Academy Saints

The Riverside Christian Academy Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Scotland Christian Academy Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside Christian Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Last Thursday, Riverside Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Wayne Preparatory Academy, taking the game 8-5.

Riverside Christian Academy's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Marsh, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Marsh is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Braxton Wirt was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Scotland Christian Academy gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 20-16 win over New Life Christian Academy.

Randy Cummings was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of James Sheffield, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-5.

Riverside Christian Academy's record is now 3-0. As for Scotland Christian Academy, their record now sits at 1-0.

Riverside Christian Academy took their victory against Scotland Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 11-0.
