Volleyball Recap: Point Pleasant Big Blacks vs. Ravenswood Red Devils

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Point Pleasant and Ravenswood had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Big Blacks fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Big Blacks have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Point Pleasant started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-11.

Chloe Patrick paced Point Pleasant's offense, picking up eight kills. Patrick got some help from Ava Riffle and her 12 assists. Patrick and Riffle didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Point Pleasant now has a losing record of 17-18-1. As for Ravenswood, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-12 record this season.
