Baseball Recap: Tate Comes Up Short

Tate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Florida Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in February.

Brayden Beck made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Tate's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for West Florida, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Tate and West Florida should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Aggies will square off against Navarre at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (117 vs. 335). Meanwhile, West Florida (ranked 43rd) will meet Northview (ranked 274th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
