Soccer Recap: Winnetonka Comes Up Short

Winnetonka lost against Center back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Griffins came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 5-0. Winnetonka have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winnetonka's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnetonka will venture away from home to square off against Oak Park at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Center, they will square off against Oak Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Center will be up against Oak Grove's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.29 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
