Recap: Shasta Wolves vs. Pleasant Valley Vikings
The Shasta Wolves fell victim to the Pleasant Valley Vikings''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell 10-0 to the Vikings. Shasta's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Pleasant Valley can attribute much of their success to Quinntyn Thomas-Brass, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Another reason for the win was Pleasant Valley's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Shasta's QB won't forget Gavin Garretson anytime soon given Garretson sacked him four times.
Shasta's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Shasta will head out on the road to face off against Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chico is on a four-game streak of home wins, Shasta a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Pleasant Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
