Volleyball Preview: Westfield Mustangs vs. Spring Lions
Westfield has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. After both having extra time off, they and the Spring Lions will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Westfield, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Westfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Alief Taylor, taking the game 3-1.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Clear Lake, falling 3-0.
After all that action, the final score was 25-16, 25-8, 25-20.
The win got Westfield back to even at 5-5. As for Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.
Westfield might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Spring in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can Westfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
