Basketball Recap: Waltrip Rams vs. Westbury Huskies
Waltrip won the last time they faced Westbury and things went their way on Saturday too. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the Waltrip Rams made off with a 43-42 victory over the Westbury Huskies. The 43-point effort marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waltrip to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amare Polk, who posted four points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Polk is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Fox, who put up 12 points.
Westbury lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mayowa Olatoto, who had eight points. Ibrahim Allim was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.
Waltrip has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Westbury, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
