Baseball Game Preview: Eagle Ridge Academy vs. West Lutheran Warriors

Eagle Ridge Academy will head out to take on the West Lutheran Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagle Ridge Academy has three straight wins, West Lutheran has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Eagle Ridge Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Camden 10-0. The result was nothing new for Eagle Ridge Academy, who have now won three matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jay Williams was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Kelash, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

West Lutheran might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to Heritage Christian, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Mason Kasowicz and Carter Anderson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kasowicz got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Anderson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Kasowicz is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Sam Perry also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Eagle Ridge Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for West Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
