Volleyball Recap: Wheeling Park Wins Going Away Against Cameron

Wheeling Park's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Cameron Dragons as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Patriots not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0).

Wheeling Park's got stronger as the match went on, holding Cameron to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-7.

Wheeling Park can attribute much of their success to Andrea Lowe, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Lowe a new career-high.

Lowe wasn't the only good server: Wheeling Park was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. The Patriots are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Wheeling Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Cameron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Wheeling Park will venture away from home to square off against Buckeye Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cameron, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Clay-Battelle on the 16th.
