Basketball Recap: Spruce Comes Up Short

Spruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Azle Hornets 75-40.

Spruce's record now sits at 3-7. As for Azle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-10.

Spruce and Azle could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Spruce (ranked 1150th) will meet Community (ranked 372nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Azle will take on Mexia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 802 places (1068 vs. 266).
