Basketball Recap: Pamlico County Hurricanes vs. Havelock Rams
Pamlico County posted their biggest win since January 31, 2024 on Wednesday. They breezed by the Havelock Rams to the tune of 46-0. The Hurricanes pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams had no chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pamlico County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tariq Barber, who posted 19 points. VJ Midgett was another key player, putting up 13 points.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zyking Patillo, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Hewitt, who had 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks.
