Basketball Recap: Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets vs. Indian Creek Eagles
The Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets lost to the Indian Creek Eagles back in February of 2023, but the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets didn't allow the Indian Creek Eagles the same satisfaction on Monday. Chapelgate Christian Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over the Eagles.
Julian Sabbat continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. He hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Justin Bishop, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Evans, who scored 18 points. Sefton Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Chapelgate Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Indian Creek, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Chapelgate Christian Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Quakers at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. Friends is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Indian Creek, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
