Softball Recap: Conestoga Valley Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Conestoga Valley's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Buckskins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Conestoga Valley is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Conestoga Valley will head out on the road to take on Solanco at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Mules will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Buckskins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ephrata at 4:15 p.m.
