Baseball Recap: Channel Islands Comes Up Short

If Channel Islands was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Thacher last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Channel Islands Raiders came up short against the Foothill Tech Dragons on Friday, falling 18-3. The Raiders have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Channel Islands saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Salinas, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Channel Islands now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Channel Islands will take on Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Foothill Tech, they will venture away from home to challenge Royal at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
