Cocoa Beach skates past Brevard Christian with ease

Recap: Cocoa Beach Minutemen vs. Brevard Christian War Eagles
The Cocoa Beach Minutemen waltzed into Thursday's contest with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Brevard Christian 93-42 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-24.
It was another big night for Jay Matthews, who scored 26 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cocoa Beach's points. Lukas Stevens was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Cocoa Beach's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Brevard Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cocoa Beach won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Calvary Chapel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Calvary Chapel Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. As for Brevard Christian, they will be playing at home against Florida Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
