Softball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Conneaut Spartans

Lakeside hasn't had much luck against Conneaut recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Dragons will head out to take on the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lakeside lost 22-1 to Geneva on Tuesday.

Lakeside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Murphy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Meanwhile, while it was Conneaut who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Jefferson Area who put up more. The Spartans came up short against the Falcons, falling 22-5. The Spartans have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Lakeside couldn't quite get it done against Conneaut in their previous matchup on April 13th as they fell 9-5. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
