Volleyball Game Preview: Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos vs. Crawfordsville Athenians

The Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos will face off against the Crawfordsville Athenians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Lafayette Jefferson: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home, while Crawfordsville has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.

On Tuesday, Lafayette Jefferson didn't have quite enough to beat Faith Christian and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Crawfordsville hadn't done well against Western Boone recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Athenians walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Stars.

Crawfordsville walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-27, 25-7, 26-24.

Lafayette Jefferson better focus on containing Alayna Hall and Claire Peacock as the pair were huge in Crawfordsville's win. Hall had 16 digs and ten assists, while Peacock hit 60% for six kills and nine digs and two aces. Peacock is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 34 games she's played dating back to last season.

Crawfordsville's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
