Baseball Recap: Northern Potter Panthers vs. Bucktail Bucks
Northern Potter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bucktail Bucks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Northern Potter of the 30-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Saturday.
For Bucktail's part, Xander Shearer was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Green, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Northern Potter's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Bucktail, their victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-16.
As of now, neither Northern Potter nor Bucktail have any future games scheduled.
