Basketball Game Preview: Dora Bulldogs vs. Cullman Bearcats

The Dora Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Cullman Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Dora took their game with ease, bagging a 51-17 win over Oakman. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Dora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Reese led the charge by putting up 16 points along with eight steals and six assists. Those eight steals gave Reese a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Hogland, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Cullman earned a 44-36 win over Priceville on Saturday.

Dora now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cullman, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Things could have been worse for Dora, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-39 loss to Cullman when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
