Softball Recap: Viroqua Blackhawks vs. De Soto Pirates
After losing to De Soto the last time they met, Viroqua decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Viroqua Blackhawks were the clear victor by a 22-7 margin over the De Soto Pirates on Monday.
For De Soto's part, Kylee Venner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Obert, who went 1-for-3 with a home run.
The win got Viroqua back to even at 1-1. As for De Soto, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Viroqua does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De Soto, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kickapoo at 5:00 p.m.
