Soccer Recap: Stafford Comes Up Short

Stafford lost against Massaponax on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Stafford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Massaponax are ranked 12th).

Stafford has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season. As for Massaponax, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2-1.

Stafford didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Massaponax on the 13th. The Panthers does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
