Baseball Game Preview: Vassar Vulcans vs. Bentley Bulldogs

The Vassar Vulcans will venture away from home to face off against the Bentley Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Vassar came up short against Cass City on Friday, falling 15-2.

Brayden Rondo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Bentley lost 13-2 to Durand on Friday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bentley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Leonard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Vassar's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bentley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Vassar couldn't quite get it done against Bentley when the teams last played back in March of 2017 as they fell 10-5. Can the Vulcans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
