Volleyball Recap: Alyssa Viola and Luca Torrey Secure Win for South Shore Vo-Tech

South Shore Vo-Tech earned a 3-1 win over Smith Vo-Tech on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Shore Vo-Tech.

While South Shore Vo-Tech might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Smith Vo-Tech scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 18-25, 25-20.

Leading South Shore Vo-Tech to victory were Luca Torrey and Alyssa Viola. Torrey had 11 digs and four aces, while Viola had 25 digs, seven kills, and three aces. Viola is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

South Shore Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Smith Vo-Tech, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. South Shore Vo-Tech will face off against Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Smith Vo-Tech, they will take on Prospect Hill Academy on Friday.
