Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Dominion Christian

Dominion Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Excel Christian Academy Eagles 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dominion Christian took every set by at least 20 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-5, 25-5.

Chloe Rocha was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Scarlett Massengill also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Dominion Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive contests.

Dominion Christian's record is now 11-4. As for Excel Christian Academy, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Dominion Christian and Excel Christian Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights are set to challenge their familiar foe Fulton Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Excel Christian Academy will face off against rival Lyndon Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
