Baseball Recap: Winter Park Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Winter Park put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the St. Cloud Bulldogs 11-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brendan Carbery looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Pietro Pugliese was a standout: he went a perfect2-for-2 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jacob Butts, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Winter Park's record is now 3-0. As for St. Cloud, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Winter Park will face off against Viera at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Cloud, they will square off against Tohopekaliga at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
