Softball Recap: Ravenwood Takes a Loss

Ravenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Independence Eagles. The Raptors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ravenwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garland Kay Daniel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Maddie Webster also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Ravenwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Independence, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenwood will face off against Grace Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will square off against Summit at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
