Baseball Recap: Brackenridge Comes Up Short

Brackenridge dropped their record down to 8-13 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Edison Golden Bears by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Brackenridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Polendo, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for Edison, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games.

On Edison's side, Julius Ramirez looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ramirez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Brackenridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edison, they will challenge Highlands at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
