Basketball Recap: Dessiah Gee and Ja'shonna Mathis Secure Win for Marianna

Marianna won the last time they faced Bethlehem and things went their way on Monday too. The Marianna Bulldogs came out on top against the Bethlehem Wildcats by a score of 44-31.

Marianna was led to victory by Ja'Shonna Mathis and Dessiah Gee. Mathis posted 12 points, while Gee earned 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeressa Lewis, who had eight points.

Marianna now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bethlehem, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Marianna will host Port St. Joe at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bethlehem and Kinston will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
