Basketball Recap: Brookside Takes a Loss

Brookside played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 51-21 loss at the hands of the Vermilion Sailors. The Cardinals have struggled against the Sailors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Bailey Brennen was Brookside's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Brennen also led the team in assists with two. Gabby Torres held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Brookside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Vermilion, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Brookside has already played their next game (against Clearview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Vermilion, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-43 loss against Midview on the 26th.
