South San Antonio had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the MacArthur Brahmas. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-5 back in March.

Lauren Perez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Raena Ramirez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

South San Antonio's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for MacArthur, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11-1.

South San Antonio wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-1 victory against Harlandale on the 19th. As for MacArthur, they will take on Burbank on the 26th.
