Spanish Springs extended their winning streak  to four  on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 16-7-1 in the process. Everything went their way against the Carson Senators as they made off with  a  9-3 win. Considering the Cougars have won ten contests by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lily Delamora spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Spanish Springs let  Maddy Marshall and  Maleah Taylor run wild. Marshall  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Taylor  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  Taylor a new career-high.  Izzy Chisholm was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
As for Carson, they now  have a losing record of 8-9-1. The  defeat   continues a  trend for them in their meetings with Spanish Springs: they've now lost five in a row.
 On Carson's side,  Jordan Brubaker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Riley Kuhlman, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI.
Spanish Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carson: the pair will be back at it again later today.
