Holcomb won the last time they faced Risco and things went their way on Monday too. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Holcomb had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 10-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-13.

When it comes to explaining why Risco lost, don't look at Leighton Calvert. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and three aces. Peyton Carlisle also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Holcomb's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Risco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6-1.
