Softball Recap: Real Life Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Real Life Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Lake Buena Vista Vipers 14-4. The Raptors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.

Rylee Lyon was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. She has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Kirton, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Real Life Christian Academy's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.6 runs over those games. As for Lake Buena Vista, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Real Life Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Ocala Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ocala Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.14 runs per game on average), something Real Life Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lake Buena Vista, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-16 loss against Wekiva on the 26th.
