Jim Ned put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Merkel Badgers a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Colby Clinkscales and Gavin Brooks did most of the damage at the plate: Clinkscales scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Brooks scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Clinkscales is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Deal, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Jim Ned has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Merkel, they dropped their record down to 9-8-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Jim Ned will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Badgers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
