Basketball Recap: Joey Carrafiello Key Part of a Team Effort in Wildcats Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Cross, Seymour was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They managed a 59-54 victory over the St. Paul Catholic Falcons. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 65-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Seymour got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joey Carrafiello out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Shane White, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Seymour now has a winning record of 6-5. As for St. Paul Catholic, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

When Seymour and St. Paul Catholic next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Seymour will try to stop Torrington's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seymour is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. Meanwhile, St. Paul Catholic will take on Holy Cross and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
