Volleyball Recap: Crystal River Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crystal River can now relate to. They came up short against the Santa Fe Raiders on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Sage Einsphar paced Crystal River's offense, picking up nine kills. Einsphar got some help from Addy Stack and her 16 assists.

Santa Fe was led to victory by Karlee Noah and Morgan Lawson. Noah had 15 digs and two assists, while Lawson had five digs. Noah is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Crystal River moved to 11-15 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Santa Fe, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-9.

Crystal River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Fe, after both having extra time off, they and Titusville will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
