Tussey Mountain took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Everett, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Warriors on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 14-2 defeat.

Joslyn Raley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Tussey Mountain let Lydia Zdrosky and Olivia Mills run wild. Zdrosky went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Mills went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Mills a new career-high. Adyson Weyandt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Tussey Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Everett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tussey Mountain will challenge Forbes Road at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Everett, they will head out to take on Southern Huntingdon County at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
