Recap: Ramah Mustangs vs. Navajo Pine Warriors
The Ramah Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They lost to Navajo Pine on the road by a decisive 70-52 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ramah in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.
Navajo Pine was led to victory by Nehemiah McDaniel and Gentry Arthur. McDaniel scored 21 points, while Arthur scored 22 points. Kyle Catron was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Ramah dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Navajo Pine, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Ramah will head out on the road to square off against the Dine Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Tse' Yi' Gai is ranked 146th, while the Mustangs are ranked 142nd). As for Navajo Pine, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Northwest has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
