Softball Recap: Mitchell Drops Season-High Score on Scottsburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mitchell). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Scottsburg Warriors on Monday. The Bluejackets not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 20, 2024 (when they won 19-9).

Mitchell's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Scottsburg, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Mitchell will square off against Eastern Greene at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scottsburg, they are taking a road trip to challenge Brownstown Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
