Baseball Recap: Oelwein Victorious

While Oelwein's win against New Hampton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies won by a run and slipped past the Chickasaws 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Oelwein is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-19 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for New Hampton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-9.

Oelwein has already played their next matchup (against Crestwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for New Hampton, they will host Osage on Tuesday. The Green Devils will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Chickasaws surely won't give up without a fight.
