Soccer Game Preview: Sunset vs. Varela

The Sunset Knights will square off against the Varela Vipers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunset's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Sunset came up short against Homestead on Monday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Broncos are ranked 84th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Varela was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 5-1 to Coral Gables.

Sunset's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Varela, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
