Football Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

If Wayne was feeling good fresh off their 29-7 takedown of Brownell Talbot last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils had to suffer through a 40-7 loss at the hands of Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Easton Endicott threw for 62 yards on four of 15 attempts. Brodey Munter was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Taven Ocampo rushed for 65 yards.

Lawson Taylor had a dynamite game For Logan View/Scribner-Snyder., rushing for 198 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. Taylor showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards. Grayson Kraus got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Wayne will face off against O'Neill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Blue Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they will take on Concordia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
