Baseball Recap: Blind Brook Comes Up Short

Blind Brook fell victim to Briarcliff and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Alex Schneider was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Bennett Cuesta was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Blind Brook's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Briarcliff, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Briarcliff will head out to challenge Croton-Harmon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Blind Brook will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' game: after the Bears face off against the Tigers, they'll take on Blind Brook again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
