McGehee had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 43-39 W against the Drew Central Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Owls: when they faced off against the Pirates back in January, they had to take a 55-38 loss.

McGehee's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Drew Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGehee will take on Dumas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Drew Central, they will square off against DeWitt at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
