Living Water Homeschool won the last time they faced Traders Point Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Marlins blew past the Knights 15-2. Considering the Marlins have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Peyton Lucas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lucas was even better at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Living Water Homeschool let Reilly Carpenter and Macy Bush run wild. Carpenter went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Bush went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two hits gave Carpenter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Robertson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one run.
Living Water Homeschool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Living Water Homeschool's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Traders Point Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Living Water Homeschool wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory on the 5th. As for Traders Point Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-8 victory against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 1st.
