Soccer Recap: Eastside Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Eastside kept a clean sheet against Quartz Hill on Friday. They came out on top against the Quartz Hill Royals by a score of 2-0. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Royals are ranked 553rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastside is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 14-4-2 record this season. As for Quartz Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-2.

Eastside wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Palmdale on the 3rd. Quartz Hill has also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Antelope Valley on the 3rd.
