Soccer Game Preview: Hanford vs. Hermiston

Hanford is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Hermiston a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Hanford Falcons will welcome the Hermiston Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Hanford's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Hanford and Richland, and Richland kept the tradition alive. The Falcons fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Hanford have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Hermiston can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Walla Walla a 5-0 shutout. Hermiston's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Hanford's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Hermiston, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8.

Hanford skirted past Hermiston 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
