Softball Game Preview: La Salle Institute Cadets vs. Catholic Central Crusaders

The La Salle Institute Cadets will face off against the Catholic Central Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. La Salle Institute comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, La Salle Institute came up short against Cohoes and fell 6-1. That's two games in a row now that the Cadets have lost by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, Catholic Central never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They came out on top against Schalmont by a score of 3-0.

Catholic Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for La Salle Institute, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
