Basketball Recap: Jones County Comes Up Short

Jones County lost against Philip back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jones County Coyotes took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Philip Scotties. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Drew Terkildsen, who posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists for Philip. Terkildsen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kale Peterson, who earned nine points and three steals.

Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Philip, their record now sits at 9-6.

Looking ahead, Jones County will challenge Corsica/Stickney at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Philip, they will be playing at home against Lyman at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
