Football Game Preview: Wickliffe Blue Devils vs. Rootstown Rovers

The Wickliffe Blue Devils will take on the Rootstown Rovers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Wickliffe 11, Rootstown 10.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Wickliffe made easy work of Chagrin Falls and carried off a 28-6 victory. Considering the Blue Devils have won four games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rootstown, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Crestwood by a score of 21-12 on Friday.

Wickliffe's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.8 points on average over those games. As for Rootstown, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
